Tadakuni: "Despite being introduced like a main protagonist, he gets the least roles in the trio. Gradually, he loses screen time and fades into the background, appearing even less than supporting characters."
Akari: "Akari is supposedly the main protagonist of the series. However, as she is an ordinary person and often pales in comparison to the other characters, she is often bantered with her small presence and pushed into the background."

I was under the impression that Tadakuni was intended to be the main character, a "control" to contrast how odd the other characters were--but later the author found that unnecessary (readers can do that themselves).
