The handwriting on that kanji isn't the best, so I can understand the slip. There's a definite gap at the "point" on the left side of the figure, though, and Japanese prices, especially for high-ticket items like air fares, tend to be large, round amounts, rather than ending in small change.
It was a very unhappy phone call. Though it's good that I have work, of course. (^^;)
