Little bit of trivia. It is surmised that MARPAT was actually derived from the Canadian camo pattern CADPAT. CADPAT is a digital camo that uses brighter green, some black, and unlike MARPAT, no brown or tan.
Edit: There's actually some brown, just not very much.
