I don't know about her but I'd pick someplace else for fries
McD's fries are pretty hit and miss. They range from soggy bland and tasteless to crunchy, well-seasoned, and so good you don't mind if you burn your mouth eating them. Every other fast food place I've visited is much more consistent (usually in a good way), but McD's fries are like a game of roulette each time.

The key is to get them when fresh. Sometimes you have to ask and wait for fresh ones. Generally they change the oil out some time after lunch so if you buy them at 2-3 they are usually amazing.
Disneyland used to have a McD stand that only sold fresh french fries and those were the best. Unfortunately that ended some time around 2008, or at least, it was gone when I went there.
