Ice Cream: A true motivator for the common American to die for their nation.
Seriously though, how hot did it get during the war for those in the Pacific? I'm pretty sure that there's a reason that the American military had so much of it for a reason other than morale, although that was probably a huge factor.

“In 1942, as Japanese torpedoes slowly sank the U.S.S. Lexington, then the second-largest aircraft carrier in the Navy’s arsenal, the crew abandoned ship—but not before breaking into the freezer and eating all the ice cream,”

Oh wow....Now I want to see the Lexington added to this series (They added Saratoga so why not her older sister?). Just to see if her Damaged art shows her with some ice cream in hand.

Iowa didn't have an ice cream maker, while the North Carolina did? I thought Iowa was supposed to be the pen-ultimate battleship? Why the regression?

All four of the Iowas sailed with several ice cream makers AND then-entirely-new soft-serve machines. They rarely got the mix for the soft serve machines, but had regular ice cream on a weekly basis (or more often, depending on their combat itinerary and supply), leading up to one semi-famous event where Halsey himself btfo out of some rookie officers for cutting ahead of him in the Ice Cream line aboard the USS Missouri.
