....so how long until the Hololive girls are banned from saying they like pineapple on pizza, or from even acknowledging the existence of the fruit?
The problem with west taiwan audiences is; even if they aren't supposed to be able to watch any youtube streams nor participate in them due to YT being banned there, they managed to subvert it with VPNs. Without getting any social credit cuts. Not only that indicates their actions are, in fact, supported by the goverment (by the lack of punishment) it will also create multiple problems for the group since other Holomembers won't stand if somehow Coco 'graduates' due to pressure. In the 'give and inch and they will take a mile' line, now the antis know they can force the members to retire, expect even more spamposting and bullying.
That doesn't make sense: not only have there been cases of antis losing social credit scores simply because they used a VPN in the first place, why would the rest of Hololive leave if Coco is forced to graduate?
You can't get banned for mentioning pineapples if the whole group already got banned for mentioning Taiwan at the first place.
On the one hand, you're absolutely right, and have reached your conclusion through rational thought and level-headedness.
On the other hand, the Beijing government and/or the "Compliance" committee might decide that references to pineapples automatically count as references to Taiwan due to this situation of other countries buying Taiwan's pineapples; the same way they decided that references to or depictions of Winnie The Pooh automatically count as direct and intentional insults of Xi, regardless of the context of the reference or depiction. They managed to force Disney and Square to censor the Kingdom Hearts trailer; Cover is in a much lower financial "weight class" than them.
I don't trust Beijing to be even a tenth as rational and level-headed as you are. That's why I'm worried they're gonna go more apeshit than usual in the near future.
