There is also the fact that in the manga (if I recall), Agatha actually had one of her Gengar drain Kouga's life force by posessing his shadow. maybe this Gengar decided to do something similar on it's own onus.
I have also wondered, based on the fact that, in their first apperance on the TV show, ghost pokemon seem to have the ability to pull peoples spirits out of their bodies, if Gengar and other pokemon are also capable of posessing people and if this might be an example of that in progress.
Which manga? Also, I'd like to think it's either playing with her or just effing with her (I'd maybe assume the former, since she's not freaking out, but by that same token, it could be one of those possessions-revealed-by-the-possesser's-appearnce-in-a-reflection deals, 'cept with a shadow).

In which case let's hope it stay's this way; in most stories, if the person's refection/shadow goes back to normal, and nobody did anything to cause it to go back(like say and exorcism, it usally indicates that the posession has become total; that the posessing spirit has suceeded in destroying/permanently ejecting the resident spirit, and the body is now thiers and theirs alone.

I was being facetious; I have a peeve at commenters saying "the manga" when there are many Pokeman comics (The Electric Tale of Pikachu, for instance).
