Drow is just one term for dark elves for D&D the term dark elves goes way back. Alot of people debate thats its dark elf, drow, elves of darkness... ect ect... It just depends on where they first herd the term. I'm a little older so when someone days dark elf I say oh you mean drow? and some people are like WTF is that? The younger generation usualy first herd the term dark elf from the Warcraft series of games so thats what they refer it to :/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_elf
"In the Dragonlance setting, dark elves are not a separate subrace of elves (in fact, the drow of other worlds do not exist on this one). In this setting, "dark elf" is a label given to any elf that is outcast from elven society, typically (although not always) for evil practices."
"It should be noted that in the Forgotten Realms setting Dark-elf is not entirely synonymous with Drow. As explained on pages 54-56 of the supplement Lost Empires of Faerun by Richard Baker et al., the dark-elves were a subrace of elves and the majority were not inherently evil. Actions of the dark-elves of Ilythiir during the Second and Fourth Crown Wars led the other elven kingdoms to perform powerful ritual changing all of the dark-elves into drow. "The word dhaerow—which meant traitor—was likewise corrupted to 'drow,' which became the name of the corrupted dark-elves. Why all the dark elves, and not just the Ilythiiri, were transformed into drow remains one of the enduring mysteries of the Descent" (56)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Elves_in_fiction
These are in fact both Drow. The one with the crown is a first generation Drow and Imperial Daughter. The other, I am not sure what generation she is but I want to wager a guess that she is somewhere around a second generation Drow. What this means is that they are 1 and 2 generations removed from their Dark Elf ancestors. In the case of the one with the crown her mother was a Dark Elf. In the others case I am assuming that her grandmother was a Dark Elf, but I am uncertain of this.Their names are Snadhya'runes (the one with the Crown) and Mel'arnach (the other one)
