If CyberConnect2 fails another shall rise to take its place, and another after that, each one going further and further to break through Capcom's wall of idiocy and obstinancy with their determination and will. THAT is the meaning of this drill! As long as hope and determination remain in the hearts of the faithful, the drill grinds on!

... Seriously, we should have kept the Epic Comments pool. Because this made me salute subconsciously

What reason was there to remove that pool?
The going consensus by most of the mods was that this is supposed to be a picture site, not some kind of forum. Making a pool for actual comments would make people look at the comments rather than the picture was what was argued. Although myself and some others did argue back that in order to understand the comments you would need to look at the picture first. In the end the final nail in the coffin was that comments would be more subjective than most of the other pools we have here. More subjective by compairison anyway.
I've seen the Comment Pool try to be revived twice twice after the first one was deleted, and its been promptly nuked from orbit all 3 times. I don't remember if Albert himself ever had anything to say about the Comment Win Pool.

Damn double negatives...
There are some pools that cannot be subjective at all (ie the comic pools). Then there are pools that are slightly subjective (eg pools with a clear title and meaning, but no set order to posts (eg the GDI Yukari pool, Playable Command etc)). Then you get pools with a high level of subjectiveness, pools that vary greatly from person to person on the subject matter, but are usually unanimously agreed to be what the pool's for (eg Badass, Nostalgia). Nevertheless, these are all about the pictures.
Pools based on the comment threads are about the comments, not the pictures, as Tetsamaru said. Since pools are used to draw attention to the pictures, having a pool for pictures where the commentary is the star of the show is counter-productive, not to mention it's more subjective than things like "Badass" and "Nostalgia".
And Tetsamaru, I've seen about four revives. People REALLY want this damn pool to exist.

Good lord, 4 revives? Well, at this point, the next best thing people can do is favorite pics with comments that they like. I know I seen post #376116 in every revive I saw. While I do like the comments, even I think a line has to be drawn somewhere for Meme type comments. How many freaking times has Archer's UBW speech been parodied here on Danbooru? If the pool still existed I forsee a good portion of the pool filled with that parody.
