It's a genuine car navigation system that came with a 2002 vehicle, so what are you going to do. It won't show terrestrial analog broadcasts any more, either. (^^;)
Is there any reason to insist on using the car's built-in GPS mapping system when there are so many other alternatives out there? Examples being:
He has at least one Android tablet and phone. Those make excellent GPS mapping and navigational devices after Google Maps is installed
A four-inch dedicated GPS mapping and navigational appliance from well-known vendors like Tomtom and Garmin can be bought anywhere without breaking the bank.
