But where is Venom's "stomach"?! If it is really a costume...
Isn't Venom just an alien parasite? The costume is Venom. IDK, I'm not hip with the superhero comics and stuff, just from what I hear friends say about it.

Yeah, Venom is basically an alien ball of shapeshifting goo that bonds to a person and gives them superpowers in exchange for mooching food out of their body. The goo can look like a costume, but it can also just look like a set of black street clothes (or a significantly less monsterous costume) depending on its mood and how well its cooperating with the host. Its also kinda yandere.
Here, it is cooperating very well given that it's being a wingman.
Just treat it right; in the comics, while the hosts' motivations vary, Venom's motivations keeping it a villain are literally the classic yandere mix of "how dare Spiderman dump me, I'll kill him and all those sluts he cares about more than me" and "Spiderman, please take me back".
Thanks for more info on Venom. I always thought Venom let their hosts eat normally outside when Venom costume tuck inside... Nowhere to be seen or not needing to eat.

Unfortunately that's been retconned a long time ago
Turns out Venom was never a monstrous parasite and was in fact a force of good that was just corrupted by its first host that went on a violent murder spree of its race before it was stopped by a Kree that the symbiote promptly bonded with
Said Kree was very heroic at the time and hence where the Venom symbiote got it's mostly forgotten heroic impulses
It's more violent and murderous impulses and actions came from being driven mad by it's first host and after being separated from it's Kree host and getting it's mind wiped by the Kree to protect their secrets
And the symbiote doesn't actually care that much about Spiderman anymore it only did so because he reminded it of it's Kree host on a instinctual level and hence the reason it wanted to stay with him
As of now it actually likes Eddie and Flash more than Spiderman

A jealous ex not obsessing over caring about Peter "Parker Luck" Parker anymore?
Huh....? Not parasite? But we have seen it's clearly kind of slime parasite....? I'm lost
Because parasitism is defined, in simple terms, "the parasite benefits while the host is harmed". While I'm not well versed in all Venom iterations, AFAIK Venom do not harm the host, while granting the host abilities.
