"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance[...] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel."
Praise the Lord, amirite? (Although I think this is less 'social statement' and more 'this artist has a thing for drawing injured girls'.)
What are you smoking? One visited Gensokyo twice, the another only once, and as far as I remember, they don't plan doing anything more than visiting Eirin like once in a century. I haven't read CiLR, though, but I doubt they even bother to visit the Earth there.
Think of it this way. Why did they move their shrine to Gensokyo?
To gather more faith. Why the lack of faith?
People stopped believing in the miracles. And when they stopped believing, the miracles stopped coming. Overcome with anger they raided the shrine and beat the so called living goddess into the dirt. So came about the fall of the Moriya shrine on our side of the barrier.
