both are my most favorite male characters ever,It'll be hard to decide who I'll root for.. (altough realisticly speaking, Guts will be winning on this though..at least I think so..)

Not to mention we've seen him use his sword at point blank range to super-human degrees. Being able to dance around the damn thing to defend against attacks from any angle was one of the most impressive scenes from his skirmish with the Kushans.
Just saying, though... a double KO is far from impossible.
They're both from very different fighting backgrounds if you know what I mean, Musashi kills humans, while Guts is a slayer of demons. Really like them both but I doubt Musashi's sword'll even be able to pierce Guts armor, and I'm sure it won't block a strike from his dragonslayer, these coupled with his arm cannon not to mention berserker mode gives Guts the clear advantage imo, therefore I'm gonna have to go for the man who was able to go toe to toe with Zodd.
am i missing something? i saw the anime it was left kinda open ended.... wasn't it!? please god tell me theres more! oh oh also guts ftw no way musashi is winning this match.... ever.

You're gonna have to read the manga if you want more, it's gone far beyond where the anime ended. The anime basically covered volumes 1-13 of the manga, omitting quite a bit in the process, the manga so far is around volume 34-35. There's not gonna be a continuation of the anime from what I know, and if you do decide to read the manga I strongly recommended you read it from the beginning, considering the amount of material that was changed/left out.
I am rollin with Guts simply because he is a man and demon slayer. In addition he is totally insane. He will counter Musashi's attack with his teeth haha!
Man, why does it always have to be one or the other in such cases? I like them both too much to take sides.
I say that after they battle for a while and realize each other's skill, they'll start respecting each other, and will then decide to team-up and kick astronomical amounts of ass .
They are fighting to save the world. The Earth can't contain the awesomeness of two such characters so one of them must go down.If you notice the blast of their badass aura have already caused a nuclear winter....just saying.:)
I'm going to put my money on Guts. While both are handicap, Guts' missing eye doesn't hinder him at all, and his missing left forearm was replaced with an iron fist and built in cannon. Where as Musashi is having a bitch of a time moving around with his damaged leg. Making him ALMOST a sitting target.
It may not look it but Guts' speed in mobility and sword handling is disturbingly fast. Even while running and jumping around in heavy armor and swinging what has to be a 7-foot tall, 300lbs sword he is still often described as whirlwind. His reflexes are also stop/catch/grab a normal sword mid swing barehanded. And his swordsmanship is considered at a grandmaster level. And if this is an anything goes to the death fight then Guts' has more variety in terms of arsenal.
Regardless. If these two were throw down, the fight would be over in very short time frame, if not in an instant.
Guts has his ridiculous strength and speed, the dragon slayer, and the berserk armor, negating pain. Thus, the only openings would be his right arm and his head. And although he is the 100-man killer, he has in fact killed over 1200 men, beasts, and demons so far. Let's not also forget the incredible blood lust that would make any of us shit bricks; even Zodd acknowledged it (despite describing it as "ecstasy").
Musashi, on the other hand, has exceptional swordsmanship that is recognized throughout Japan, past, present, and most definitely future. He also has incredible blood lust, although now he has refined it through philosophical means, making it even more potent. He also has the technical skills to aim for the openings in Guts's armor. Despite being physically weaker and slower than Guts, Musashi can fight as Serpico did, using tactics and precise swordsmanship to win the day. In fact, tactics are a forte of Musashi's, seeing as how his battle against the Yoshioka and Kojiro involved multiple strategies.
Now, some edits.
Guts will not use his other weapons, like his cannon, abiding by the swordsman's code of dueling, as he did in his latest fight with Serpico. Also, he will not go berserk, or at least try not to. Serpico proved to be an opponent who almost pushed Guts over the brink, so Musashi may be able to send Guts into a frenzy. As for Musashi's tactics, Guts is too battle-hardened to be bothered by timing or attitude. It will most likely be a straight fight, to Musashi's disadvantage. However, it will most likely also be a one-strike bout. Quite honestly, each of these men only need one hit to end it.
As many of the above commenters have noted, this fight will be SHORT. Like, REALLY SHORT. Maybe 30 seconds, tops. Guts's last fight with Serpico only lasted about a minute, so a fight with Musashi would last an instant.
Now, this picture, currently my background, has received the tags "epic" and "manly". However, many have petitioned for a greater tag. Unfortunately, danbooru has associated the "manly" tag with "GAR", so the best I can do is this:
