Don't know if this helps, but from what I can gathered from having watched the show, Homura appears more socially awkward than suffering from a medical condition, heart problems aside, something that didn't really change in spite of all the time loops she went through.
Moemura: Extreme shyness and clumsiness, lack of self-esteem, leads to little interaction with her peers.
Homunator: Cold and calculating, keeps plans to herself, leads to little interaction with her peers.
It's the same challenge, just manifesting itself under a different guise. At least, that's how I see it.
